How the Investor Hot Seat works
Your Hot Seat is held live online with the MoonshotNX panel.
You get:
5 minutes to pitch.
3–5 minutes for panel Q&A.
That's it.
The five-minute pitch is on a timer, so do not try to squeeze your normal 10-, 15- or 20-minute investor presentation into the session.
Prepare a short version specifically for the Investor Hot Seat.
You must be ready to share your screen and present your pitch deck live.
Your 5-Minute Pitch
Keep it simple. We want 4–5 slides maximum.
Your Hot Seat pitch should focus only on the core information we need to understand the company, the opportunity and your current raise.
1. Problem
What problem are you solving, and who experiences it?
2. Solution
What have you built or developed to solve the problem? Explain clearly what your company does.
3. Go-to-Market
Who is your customer, and how do you reach, acquire and sell to them? Briefly explain your go-to-market strategy.
4. TAM
What is your Total Addressable Market (TAM)? Show the size of the market opportunity and the basis for your estimate.
5. Funding
Tell us:
How much are you raising now?
How much have you raised previously?
That's it.
4–5 slides. 5 minutes maximum.
We are not looking for a long presentation or a highly produced pitch deck. We want a clear, concise explanation of the problem, solution, go-to-market strategy, market opportunity and capital position.
Before your Hot Seat
Please make sure:
Your pitch is 5 minutes or shorter
Your pitch deck is open and ready
You know how to share your screen
Your camera and microphone work
You join from a stable internet connection
You can clearly state your current raise and use of funds
You are ready for direct questions from the panel
If you are unable to share and present your deck, your session may be disqualified.
After your Hot Seat
Your company will be independently assessed by the panel.
You will receive an assessment report and outcome following the review.
There are two possible outcomes:
ACCEPTED
You have passed the Investor Hot Seat and will be invited to activate your place in the 90-Day Investor Relations Sprint for $1,999.
NOT ACCEPTED
You will still receive your assessment report, giving you feedback on the panel's evaluation of your company.
Not being accepted does not prevent you from improving the company and applying again in the future.
