When we began Moonshot in 2021, choosing to be remote was not a reaction. It was intentional.

Jill Godden is an entrepreneur, investor, author and founder of MoonshotNX, a startup fundraising platform that combines AI fundraising software, investor marketplace access, investor relations, investor networks, capital readiness tools and human expertise to help founders raise capital.
After years working alongside founders, investors, family offices and venture funds, Jill observed a recurring pattern. Many startups were not failing because of weak products, poor ideas or limited ambition. They struggled because raising capital requires a completely different set of skills to building a company.
Founders were expected to navigate investor expectations, fundraising strategy, due diligence, investor communications, valuation discussions and capital allocation decisions while simultaneously running and growing their businesses.

Under Jill's leadership, MoonshotNX has reviewed more than 14,200 startup companies, analysed over $2 billion in capital requests, evaluated more than 15,000 fundraising datapoints and built an investor ecosystem spanning more than 140 countries. Alongside her work in startup fundraising, Jill is the author of eight books covering entrepreneurship, startup valuation, ownership, decision-making, business building and personal development.
